Desired Position: Deputy
Short Description: A pretty red tabby with reinforced claws and dog teeth around her neck.

Personality:
Arcane is a red and cream silver mackerel tabby. She is short-haired and her fur is rough and spiky. Arcane's build is more muscly than lithe, though slender legs allow her to run with great speed. She prefers all-out battle, and even though she does have battle strategies, a few at least, Arcane would rather fight brawn vs. brawn instead of brains vs. brains.
Her fur is different shades of red, namely two -- very light and very dark. Her markings, technically considered white, are actually a more beige color. Arcane's tail has a tabby pattern with a streak of orange running down the center. Her two front legs, entire chest, under belly, neck, and muzzle are all cream colored.
Perhaps the most noticeable feature about Arcane is the necklace of dog--and, sometimes, cat--teeth around her neck. She has been asked to execute traitors before, so why waste their precious teeth? There is a single dog claw hanging from the center of the necklace, huge, hooked, and blood-spattered; the breed of dog this was obtained from was obviously bred for killing. It is Arcane's most prized possession. Cats have tried to steal it before, and cats have felt her wrath.
Other dog claws she attained -- and sometimes cat claws as well -- are used to reinforce her perpetually unsheathed claws. Her claws are naturally long but with dog and cat claws added to them they are definitely fatal. Arcane always has a hostile sparkle in her prominently blue eyes; the expression on her face is dangerously calm.
She always holds her head and tail high with pride. The only one she takes orders from is her leader, whom she respects and is not afraid to admit is better than her.
Arcane always has a collected air about herself. Even when she's executing a traitor, hunting down a cat, or even in battle, she is always calm and unemotional. She doesn't take c.rap from anyone and is rather independent. Arcane isn't, though, one of those cats who's too full of themselves or kills for fun. Perhaps she plays mind games with some cats when she's bored, but she will only kill a cat if ordered by her leader. Arcane doesn't look up to the leader, but she certainly respects her leader, and always will. To her, the leader's word is law -- anyone contradicting it or challenging it should face severe consequences. She's a good choice for deputy because Arcane knows how to handle almost any situation and isn't power-crazy or ambitious. She is dominant, aggressive, and does enjoy her high ranking position.History:
Arcane won't throw her life away to protect her leader, but she is loyal, and will defend her leader to the point of unconsciousness. She doesn't give a flying <insert curse here> about any other cat besides herself, the leader and the medicine cat, and probably never will. She is perhaps a bit young, but knowledgeable; Arcane has seen the Clans, and judging by their way of living, their restrictions and their stupid beliefs in some SkyClan or something, knows BloodClan is the strongest Clan so far. Though some might call her a pushover, Arcane is simply loyal to her leader, just like any cat should be... and she is one of the minority who isn't controlled by intimidation.
Arcane's mother was a soft kittypet called Lily. Lily's mate was a tom from the next house over; she didn't really like him but she had always wanted kits. Lily had a litter of nine; four she-cats, five toms. Arcane was bouncy and playful as any kit would be. She adored her sister Clover and didn't really care much about her other two sisters, Shamrock and Irish. (Hey, they were born on St. Patrick's Day -- give me a break x3) At least, not until Shamrock started staring out into the forest, wondering what would be there. Shamrock grew to confide in Arcane about what she thought was living in the forest. At first Arcane thought Shamrock was an idiot with fanciful dreams, but that changed when she caught scent of strange cats. She grew closer to Shamrock and started sitting on the fence more often, not joining in any of the kit games her brothers and sisters played.IC:
One by one, her siblings were all given away, except for her, Shamrock, Irish, and Clover. They were all red silver mackerel tabbies, and apparently that wasn't "in" at the moment. The four sisters grew close and became best friends, especially Shamrock and Arcane. (Arcane was called Rainbow back then -- pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, yeah.) Then one day Shamrock ventured over the side of the fence and never came back. Clover went with her; the twolegs went out searching and Rainbow tagged along without them knowing. They never found Shamrock, but they did find Clover by the side of the road. Blood was spattered all across her body. She hadn't been hit by a car because there were obvious claw marks across her body. The twolegs thought it had been a dog, but Irish and Rainbow knew better... they were cat claw marks.
Rainbow began to hate the cats that inhabited the forest for injuring her sister. Clover wasn't dead, but she would never recover. She could still walk, but only short distances, and whenever she was awake she murmured crazy things. Clover began to see things. Rainbow and Irish grew upset -- this wasn't the sister they remembered. Finally Rainbow couldn't take it anymore. She had to see where her sister had gone and what had hurt Clover.
She told Irish where she was going and then set off for the woods. Rainbow entered ThunderClan territory right when a patrol was coming; she ducked behind a bush and watched them pass. They obviously scented something because they stopped in their tracks. Rainbow ran as fast as she could. So these were the cold blooded murderers who had wounded her sister! Actually, BloodClan had been the perpetrators, but Rainbow didn't know that.
She came back and told her story to Irish, who was frightened and vowed never to leave her home. After a few months, Clover wandered into the street and got hit by a car. Clover was dead; they found parts of her body strewn all across the road. Lily was especially sad. After three or four months Rainbow's owners sold Irish to a wealthy family. Rainbow was all alone now.
She had heard of a forest-cat-hating Clan which was made up of kittypets. She suspected they'd never take someone with the name Rainbow, so she changed her name to Arcane. Newly-named Arcane practiced fighting with anyone who wanted to for many months. She practiced hunting on the outskirts of Clan territory when no one was watching, and in an old abandoned barn whenever the inhabiting cats would let her. When she thought she was ready, Arcane asked to join BloodClan.
She was grudgingly accepted but put under many strenuous tasks before the leader finally decided to make her a warrior. From there, Arcane's life skyrocketed. She became well-known among BloodClan warriors and even killed dogs (small terriers only, though) to collect dog teeth. Whenever she was ordered to kill a cat, she did so but kept the cat's teeth. Secretly, she reinforced her claws and kept a necklace with the teeth and claws she had collected. This would've sounded inhumane to forest cats, but Arcane had arrived in BloodClan as a young cat, and she had grown up around others who did the same thing; so she believed it to be 'normal'.
One day a huge dog invaded BloodClan territory. It was a dog left over from the ones that Tigerstar had set to attack ThunderClan. Confused, it thought the cats were its enemies, and attacked them. Arcane was one of the ones in the front line of battle. She even delivered the killing blow to the neck (although the dog was half-dead by then and had given her more serious wounds than not). Her leader allowed her one of the dog teeth as a prize -- Arcane added it to her necklace. She was also granted a few hours of rest in the medicine cat's den to have time for her wounds to recover. They left scars, although unnoticeable, something which Arcane resented -- she wanted every cat to see her battle marks.
She stayed a loyal BloodClan warrior for moons, and eventually as she matured, the Deputy died. She was appointed new deputy and tried to keep the position, something she is still doing today. When made deputy, Arcane was allowed to wear her necklace and claws; now she always wears them, even in sleep, and guards them like a mother would with kits.
Look at Rainfall's bio :3
((OOC: This is my second high position and my last, according to the rules. If I can't be deputy because we have to make room for new members, just tell me and I'll make Arcane a warrior. :3))
