Wolfstar looked at the sky from High Branch. It was time for the Moonhigh patrol which he would be leading. Who to take? he thought, for no one even knew there was going to be a patrol. It wasn't too uncommon for Wolfstar to lead a patrol and not warn any body that they were to come with him until he was ready to leave.
He walked over to the warriors den and peeked in, still unsure on who to take with him. He looked around. The first cat he saw was his deputy, Blackfrost. No, I'll let him sleep for now. He was just on Sunhigh patrol. thought Wolfstar. Next his eyes saw was Phantomshadow. Yes, I could take him. He hasn't been on patrol for several days. decided Wolfstar. No far from the back did he see the pelt of Colorsplash slowly rising and falling. She hadn't been on patrol for awhile either. Alright, just those two then. Wolfstar silently decided.
Quietly and softly he padded over to Phantomshadow and poked him with a paw. "Wake-up, you're coming with me on partol." Without waiting to make sure he was waking up, he padded over to Colorsplash. he prodded her with a claw and said, " You're on Moonhigh patrol wake-up." He didn't even look to see if the two cats were waking-up when he padded out of the den to go and wait by the entrance.

wanted to go on a patrol. But that wasn't his place. He was selected as Medicine Cat. Sighing, he made his way into the middle of the clearing. His ears perked, hearing the whistle of the wind and the sound of singing birds. It soothed him slightly. The black tom, once in the scalding sunrays, could be seen as his true self. He was a small jet black tom. But he wasn't just that. He had odd white web like markings all over him. It made him seem more spider-like. Though, Spiderpaw didn't know any other cat who had the same kind of markings as he. It made him a feel a bit of an outcast. Er.. " He started quietly, having slinked below the High Branch so he could speak with his leader. Spiderpaw cut himself off awkwardly. Would Wolfeye like him going on a warriors patrol? Probably not... but he could say he was fetching herbs. Yeah! Herbs. They had needed some Chervil for some time now. Content with his plan, he raised his head. His bright blue eyes flickered with interest. Maybe Wolfstar would think something of it. "Wolfstar?" He asked again, voice evening out. I wonder if any other apprentice is going... He wondered, eyes fixing on the entrance of the thick thorny den. He could see some shapes in there. Most apprentices were still asleep. Lazy dogs! He mused, eyes dancing vivedly. He'd be so delighted to run freely through the forest again, instead of being cooped up in camp all day. Cooped up sorting out herbs and learning what they were. Wolfeye wasn't exactly making it easy for him. Grumbling, he waited for a responce from his leader. [/ul]

Wolfstar looked down at Spiderpaw. He sighed and snapped, "What?" He didn't feel like dealing with apprentices right now. He wanted to get out on patrol and Phantomshadow and Colorsplash weren't out yet. His bright yellow eyes glaced for only a second on the medicine cat apprentince before they went back to watching to camp. His claws shelted and unshelted with impaticance and a snarl was creeping upon his mouth, revealing his fangs.
((Sorry for the small post))

Phantomshadow wasn't in a particularly pleasant mood when he got woken up, no matter who the cat. Grumbling something quietly, he stirred, and poked Colorsplash with a paw. She'd been his apprentice, therefore, they did have some sort of mutual bond. Eyes narrowing slightly, he looked outside briefly, blinking the sleep away from his eyes. Poking the reluctant warrior again, he meowed something, before standing and stretching. Yawning, he lazily padded out of the den, not thrilled to be going on a patrol. Well at least it wasn't a bossypaws telling him to get up to the blaring sunlight.. Glancing back at the den, where Colorsplash's tortoiseshell figure would soon be emerging from, he headed towards the fresh-kill pile, tentatively picking up a piece with his teeth. It wasn't a very large fresh-kill pile... They'd have to do some more hunting to restock on fresh-kill. Shrugging, he yawned again, bending his head to snap up the kill. What an uneventful day it was. Unless, of course, Colorsplash decided to go and make a permanent mate. That would be interesting. Colorsplash didn't usually stick with one cat for very long, as he'd found out from mentoring her. Slightly frustrated, he padded back into the den to find Colorsplash, still curled up, sleeping. Prodding her, he rolled his eyes when she didn't stirr, and gave her a sharp swipe across the ears with an unsheathed paw. That would get her. Giving a satisfied snort, he stood over the she-cat, waiting to make sure she wouldn't simply fall back asleep once he left the den. Again. He knew she was just waiting for him to go.. So, he pleased her, and feigned leaving. As soon as she lowered her head, he swiped her again. 'I'm up, I'm up!' She growled finally, raising her head for good, and yawning. Phantomshadow took her word, and shrugged. 'Good riddance. You're so stubborn, Colorsplash. You should've stayed an apprentice.' He was, of course, joking, however hard to spot it might be. Colorsplash shrugged, and stretched, padding out of the den with him. 'What, and have to put up you you all my life? No way! Really, Phantomshadow, let's be realistic.' Picking out a vole for herself, Phantomshadow watched as she ate, and headed over to their leader. He felt Colorsplash's eyes follow him, and smirked to himself as she coherently groaned. Colorsplash hated to go anywhere with any cat who could boss her around. She didn't stand for being bossed around. 'Just wait for her, she'll come in her own sweet time.' Chuckling to himself, he watched his former apprentice procrastinate joining them, chewing the vole slowly and dramatically. Phantomshadow wanted to laugh at her, for dreading this so much. It really was to be expected, though, from the tortoiseshell. Her father had been difficult to wake up, her mother had not liked to go about with high-ranking cats. It was clear that Colorsplash had inherited both traits - and more. 'Come on, Colorsplash! The world will wither and die waiting for you.' Colorsplash replied with a less than friendly remark, and finished off the vole. She was clearly thinking of even more ways to avoid this. IhavenoheartIhavenosoul__//&& Iminthebusinessofmisery__//&&Colorsplash was known for dreading spending time with any cat that could boss her around and punish her. Namely, Wolfeyes, Wolfstar, and Blackfrost. Otherwise, she would go about as usual, spiting any cat who she felt like. Bristling slightly, she finally padded over, muttering something clearly mutinous under her breath. It was a well-known fact that Creamsplash was insolent and disobedient to the high-rankers, or anyone, for that matter. So, it only made sense that her loyalty lay with the clan alone, and StarClan. As she had once said, 'No bossypaws is going to order me around! My heart and loyalty belong to me, and me alone. I don't take orders, and I don't back down, so shove off, you mousebrain.' Well, minus the mousebrain part at the moment. 'Oh dear StarClan, this is going to be an absolut-' Cutting herself off as she nearly said 'absolutly boring event', she figured it would be good not to land herself doing apprentice chores - again. Yawning, she closed in on them, standing a little ways off from Wolfstar, and a littleways off from Phantomshadow, although a little closer to the latter than the former. Staring blandly into the distance, she cast an amused glance at Spiderpaw, her former denmate. Looking at Wolfstar with a gaze that positively burned with the words 'If you think you can make me behave than you're wrong,', she twitched her tail impatiently. 'Well, let's get this to-experience over with, then. I've got a hunting patrol with a couple of mousebrains tomorrow, and I'd like to get my sleep for it.' Colorsplash generally was in a bad mood when she didn't get her sleep. Therefore, grumpy Colorsplash equaled misery, and misery wasn't good. Not at all. Let'stakeitfromthetop__//&&[/blockquote]

He thought, eyes brimming with anger. "You shouldn't talk to me that way, Wolfstar. And I was kingdly going to ask to tag along with the patrol so I may find herbs." He said, trying to push all disdain out of his voice. He didn't want to seem bratty, but he had been in camp for almost a moon. It just didn't seem fair. The black tom forced his fur to flatten and he sat down. His eyes for a moment flickered over to Colorsplash and Phantomshadow, but they drifted around camp after a few eventful moments. Coloursplash always seemd a big grump. He didn't like her. She was more a grump then Wolfstar! And that was hard to come by. He snorted inwardly, eyes blazing with silent anger at his leader. What right did he to snap so rudely at him? He wasn't doing any harm. Spiderpaw sometimes thought to hard about things, and why they were that way. He'd even get headaches from all his hard hard thinking. He always wanted to get to the bottom of something or other. It was in his nature. And right now he wanted to know why Wolfstar was being a grouch. Well, more of a grouch then usual. Sometimes he kind of doubted his clan. They were always just grouchs. And menaces to the other clans. Sometimes he just wanted to be good. Like ThunderClan...[/ul]
