[/i] her home. Her mother had made that perfectly clear. The voices came back. The voices of her mother on her deathbed, and her father putting all the blame on her. Suddenly a feirce yowl broke into her miserable thoughts. "DAPPLEPAW NO!" Specklepaw's voice cried out, sending a wave of shock through her. Dapplepaw whipped around, eyes wide, but they appeared big pools of determination. She was going to do this. Her siblings couldn't stop her. The deed was done now, and she was just going to play victim to what her mother said about her forever. "Dapplepaw-DAPPLEPAW! I beg of you to see reason!" Spottedpaw's strong voice carried to her ears. His voice seemed thundering even against the roar of the mighty waterfall that she stood merely a foxlength from. She could jump.. Jump now, taking all the memories and hateful rumors with her. She didn't care what her siblings said now. "Are you mousebrained?!?" Howled Patchpaw as he swerved into the clearing, narrowly avoiding slipping off the cliff himself. "Dapplepaw... Dapplepaw don't do this! Please see- "What do you know about seeing Spottedpaw?!?! And mother still loved you!!" Dapplepaw shot back at her brother, acid green eyes flaming. She didn't care waht she was saying at this point. Normally she would have, but now she could find no love in her brothers and sister now. Spottedpaw veered around at her, his own eyes burst into flames. "Don't pretend you understand me, Dapplepaw! You have no idea-" "Shut up! You don't know what it feels like to be ridiculed and hated for something you never did! Mum never hated you, any of you!" She screeched in feirce retort. "No- no Dapplepaw! We love you! We're you brothers and sister, don't you even remember that?" Specklepaw pleaded. But Dapplepaw was edging her way to the edge of the cliff. Each cat held their breath, but Dapplepaw merely hopped to a higher, more dangerous ledge. Now the voices were barely audible to the stuborn apprentice. With a yowl like any LionClan cat, "She never.. You weren't the one who was desperatly trying to care for your injured mother who had fallen from the falls... w-when she never cared. She told me to leave, that I was no kit of her's, and that I'd never be a real warrior of RiverClan. And she.. she blamed me. And father hated me, hated me so much when she finally died. And he commit suicide off these falls because of me!" Her yowls were turning into desperate sobs and cries.[/ul]

"So you think your death will make a difference?" A slight rasp played off the she-cat's tongue as a low purr sounded in her throat. She stood a few fox-lengths behind the collection of apprentices with her ears perked forward and her long tail laying relaxed so the tip brushed against the ground. The black and white cat peered through the cats, her yellow eyes gazing at the one they called 'Dapplepaw'. With peace and kindness in her understanding eyes, the she-cat took a calculated step forward, trying not to alarm the youngsters. After all, it wasn't often that a loner would approach Clan cats in their own territory. But the cat couldn't resist, and her heart cried in fear for the little she-cat's life. With a small smile she lowered herself and sat comfortably with her tail slopped messily to one side. She'd heard the entire conversation, having been only a short ways away. Full from hunting, the loner twitched her ear. What she was doing was dangerous, and she knew that. If one of the cats decided to race off for help, Vox would have very little time to react. For now, she placed her trust in them, though she understood completely that they wouldn't return that trust. They shouldn't, she was a stranger to them. Lifting her chin, her gentle voice carried her dire message, pleading for the she-cat to listen with an open mind. She tried her best to use the proper Clan terms, though she wasn't sure of them. "Life is hard young one." She nodded slightly, remembering her own past. "How easy it would be to jump off that cliff. I agree. But that won't change anything; won't solve any problems. All it will do is leave your siblings alone without their sister. It's obvious how much they care for you. Isn't their love enough?" Vox had a moment where her eyes clouded with pain. She suddenly wondered if her own sister was still serving BloodClan. It was so very long ago, and under the lead of the sadistic cat, Vox dearly hoped for her kin's safety. It was so painful, not being able to visit her; not knowing if she even still walked the streets. Maybe she had acquired her collar? Were her claws reinforced by now? Or did her rotted body lay in some sewer somewhere? If only the young cat before her could feel the pain the loner now felt in her heart. Perhaps, story time was in order. Trying not to sound rude or pushy, the she-cat allowed her agony to show in anxious flicks of her tail. "My only living kin is my sister who walks under the eyes of BloodClan." She waited for the wide eyes of the apprentices at the name of the vile cats. "No, that's not quite right. I don't even know if she still walks. I haven't seen her in so long. I was about your age when I had to leave her behind." She paused for a few moments, remembering her sister's identical pelt that was still so vivid in her mind. "Please. Don't put your siblings through the pain of having to grow up without you." She grew silent, and her eyes held an unfocused gaze at the water as it streamed. How easy it would be to jump. How very easy.Status: Complete.
