With the pain in her paw a dull memory, the feline pushed her way through the dense under-growth of green-leaf. With a sense of pride and power, the she-cat held a determined glint in her eyes as her nose sensed squirrel. She heard it before she saw it, immediately dropping down into a crouch. She flicked her tail for Robinwing to halt. She didn't feel like having him scare away her kill today. Muscles loose under her short coat, the calico closed the distance with careful steps. Finally, the bobbing head of a red squirrel appeared behind a rock, it's nose sniffing. For a few moments, the cat thought she'd been spotted and prepared to spring, but with a twitch of it's bushy tail, it lowered it's head again. A few more steps brought the cat closer. Finally, with bunched muscles, the she-cat pounced. She had it by the throat before it could shriek. Carrying it back to Robinwing, she flashed him a triumphant look and dropped it at her paws. Scraping dirt over it, she turned toward the tom with mischief in her eyes. "Your turn," her soft voice mewed. Foxclaw sat gently, making no noise as she folded her tail over her front paws. Her amber eyes held in a peaceful smile as the she-cat peered around. The lake was nearly visible from where they were. Her heart jumped at the sight. Though she was ThunderClan bred, she had always held a strange fascination for the RiverClan cats who swam like fish. She could imagine how cool the water must felt in this heat. Fighting the urge to toss herself down the slope and into the water, she flicked her ears and turned back to Robinwing. Status: Complete. ((Feel free to join us, Badgerclaw. Others may also join.))

Robinwing saw that for a moment Foxclaw's eyes were focused on RiverClan. Silently he remembered that half the blood that ran through his veins right now was RiverClan. He remembered being told about how RiverClan had wanted nothing to do with them after their mother died since they were half ThunderClan. At the thought, Robinwing pushed away the tugging at his heart. His home was ThunderClan now, and he could never go back to RiverClan. It wasn't like he wanted to go back, but it some cats still looked at him with daggers in their eyes for his half blood.
He shook the thoughts away from his head. He was out here hunting, and that was what he was going to do. He had promised himself that RiverClan would one day regret ever giving him and Redfang up. He sniffed the air. The scent of a mouse hit his nose, and he lowered into a crouch. Filled with determination not to look like an idiot in front of Foxclaw, he looked around for the mouse. It was at the root of a tree that was on a small cliff that hung over the lake. Slowly he crept up onto the mouse. He leaped, and killed it. As he got up again, he slipped and fell into the lake. He could swim well. Maybe it's because of his RiverClan blood, but who knows. Swimming in the lake, he saw the mouse was still up by the tree. He looked over at Foxclaw, who was probably laughing to death right now.

Foxclaw hadn't missed Robinwing's pause as he looked across the lake. Pain hit her, and pity flashed across her eyes. She hid it well, turning her head to peer down the muddy bank to watch the fish jump. It was just as she was about to step down toward the water that a shrill squeak grabbed her attention. Twitching her ears, she turned toward the sound with a flicking tail; the hair on her shoulders bristling. One deep breath told her of the culprit. A ThunderClan she-cat, most likely Silvermoon. Foxclaw had spied her by this part of the territory every now and then. It seemed a favorite place for patrolling. Flattening her fur, she turned back to Robinwing who was crouched a few yards away. She hadn't even heard him move. Following silently, she sat behind him to watch the scene. He pounced. The mouse died. And he fell. Idiot. Still, she couldn't help the sudden burst of laughter as it came from her throat in a gentle growling voice. Her eyes clenched shut as she tried to contain herself. It was too much, seeing his bewildered expression as his fur hit the water. She didn't jump after him, however worried she may be for his safety. Foxclaw held a fear of drowning. Even though she loved to tread the shallows when she was out of range of a RiverClan patrol on the opposite bank, she never dreamed of going out to where Robinwing had plummeted. The thought made her visibly cringe as her laughter stopped and her sense returned. Striding forward, she came up to were the mouse lay dead and squished. Some meal. With a smirk, she turned her head to watch him climb out. Then the familiar cat-scent returned. Shifting her eyes, she watched as the silvery cat came out of the brush. With a purr, she padded forward to give her a friendly lick between her ears. "Hello, Silvermoon. I thought that mouse belonged to you." Turning to Robinwing, she watched him for a moment before speaking under her breath, "a pity others can't be so fortunate in their skills." She hadn't meant it all unkindly. And as she looked upon the fire-pelted warrior, she couldn't help but feel hot under her fur, even though she was standing in the shade. Status: Complete. ((So cute!))

Robinwing swam over to the shore and got up. He was dripping wet, his pelt clung to his sides, making him feel uncomfortable. Before he could even shake himself, he heard talking, not from Foxclaw, or Silvermoon who had showed up. He looked in the direction of the sound, and knew his life was ruined. Redfang and Icepelt, who had been talking moments before the came to the lake, took one look at Robinwing, and bursted out laughing. Both fell to the ground from laughing as Robinwing got up and shook as much water as he could from his pelt.
Redfang came up to him and said, "P-please dont-t t-tell me you f-fell into the l-ake!" as she tried to fight down a burst of laughter, but ailed to as Icepelt laughed. "Shut-up!" growled Robinwing at his sister and his sister's best friend. He went and walked toward Foxclaw and stopped a little way from her and Silvermoon, for he was sure foxclaw wanted nothing to do with him since he just proved he was an idiot. Redfang and Icepelt wlked up to Foxclaw and Silvermoon and greeted them friendly mews.

[/i] of laughter toward him. He seemed to be attached to Foxclaw as well. Oh what a way to get a she-cat. Her tail brushed the ground a few times before she returned a lick to Foxclaw and padded toward the lake, carefully lapping the water into her mouth. "Nice way to impress she-cats Robinwing...." She said it in a rather sarcastic tone. She couldn't really help it. The tom had just made a fool of himself by tumbling into the lake. Heh, he had gone too far he could've ended up in RiverClan territory...[/ul][/size]

Two others came to join, now a proper patrol was set up. Too bad for them that there wasn't any danger at the present, in case Wingedstar came by. For a large group of Clan cats to sit around when there was work to be done could be punishable. I think. Foxclaw tilted her head at the thought of the long-haired she-cat coming through the brush yelling at them. It made her smile. It wasn't like they were plotting or something, right? The she-cat shook her head and turned toward the newcomers. "Icepelt. And Redfang, of all cats to come here." She purred deeply, moving so she faced them more comfortably. The mix of pelts made her heart sing, and the cat looked over each she-cat with pride. "I thought you two had a hunting patrol set out in the forest?" Had she heard wrong, or was the ruckus with Robinwing too loud for curious cats to ignore. Perhaps across the lake the RiverClan cats were laughing as well? When Silvermoon broke free from the group, Foxclaw followed her with her eyes. She noticed the orange tom with a soft growl of delight. "Don't forget to get your mouse," her soft voice hinted with sarcasm. She turned and moved back to where her squirrel lay, carrying it back to them and placing it at her paws. She wasn't trying to be a prude, bringing back her prized kill when Robinwing had failed so miserably in form. Realizing the message she might have sent to them, she nudged Robinwing softly. "You killed it, that's what matters. You may have slipped, but it still fell at your paws." Her eyes twinkled, but her mind laughed. Status: Complete. ((Word vomit.. But I'm rushed.))

Robinwing was suprised by the nudge from Foxclaw, but he quickly nodded his head and went to fetch the mouse. While claiming his prey, Redfang mewed, "Yeah, we were on hunting patrol, but Wingedstar sent a message that we should just partol the borders around here since apprentices we out hunting with their mentors." as Redfang told this to Foxclaw and Silvermoon, Icepelt casted a slightly longing glance at the WindClan territory, but lucky for her, no one noticed.
Robinwing came back with his mouse, his pelt still rather damp, bu he didn't care much. Icepelt and Redfang both had little smiles licking at their lips and amusement dancing in their eyes. "You do relize, that for as long as you live, I will never, never let you forget this?" Redfang mewed with amusement. Robinwing gave her a look that was a mix of being annoyed and amused. Robinwing growled ina playful tone at his sister. Unlike most litters, Robinwing and Redfang grew closer as they grew up instead of growing apart.
