((Continued from "Sniffing Around")) While the bundle of leaves was awkward when it banged against her chest and threatened to trip her legs, the she-cat had no intention of slowing up. Crossing the camp in long strides, the small cat slid through the thorns without lowering her head. Her eyes washed over the den, searching for her nest among the others. Finding it in the back where she'd left it, the warrior trudged forward in a hurry to rest her paw. Once there, she lowered the parcel to the ground and sat near it. The smell told marigold, but faintly through the leaves. As the cat nosed it open, she took care to separate the cobwebs from the second package just inside the first. With a glance at her paw she knew they wouldn't be needed. She made a mental note to return them to Tansypaw once she felt it safe to step on the ground with the poultice smeared on her paw. Which reminds me. Taking a glob of the mixture in her left paw, she pressed it onto her right. It stung, but she trusted the apprentice. Rainfall was a great medicine cat, maybe the best ThunderClan has ever had. She was sure Tansypaw was being trained with care. As the stinging began to fade, Foxclaw thought about the medicine cat. She hadn't seen the she-cat with the odd pelt in a while. Wondering where the cat had wondered to, the she-cat peered down and spat as red blood dripped from her cut. With a hiss, she scooped up the cobwebs from the ground and pressed them as firmly as she could. Thank StarClan she hadn't used all of the poultice. Once the bleeding stopped, she waited a few moments to be sure. It didn't start again. Feeling satisfied, she re-applied the mixture best she could. Silently she thanked Tansypaw for the cobwebs. Once the concoction sunk in, she got up and cleared away the leaves and bloody cobwebs, making the den neat again. Finally, she trotted over to her nest and lay on the moss with a deep sigh. It was short-lived, since she planned on hunting at Sunhigh. But for now, with dawn's light breaking into the den, she'd rest. Status: Finished.

Robinwing looked around camp. There was nothing to do! He was so bored it made him just wanna die! And plus there was the problem of Badgerclaw. How much more annoying could the deputy get? "Robinwing, go do this, go do that. Robinwing! Don't talk to me like that!" Robinwing mock softly under his breath. Because of his mouth, Robinwing hadn't been aloud to go on patrol. How dare he treat me like an apprentice! I'm a warrior now! I'm more fit to be deputy then he ever will! Robinwing yelled in his head. In his anger, he lashed out at a random flower with unshelted claws, killing it.
He needed to get out of camp before he exploded. He could go hunting, even though he was still a poor hunter. But he never liked to go out hunting alone. He was about to go and look for his sister, Redfang, before he remembered that she went on the patrol. Before she left she had turned around and hit him in the head hard with shelted claws and said, "You need to learn to keep your mouth shut, you know that?" But that was just Redfang, always telling him to wise up, although she even got into a few fights with other cats. He let out a yowl of frustration at Badgerclaw. If it wasn't for him, he would be out in the forest right now with Redfang and several other cats.
He looked around. His flamed pelt and black paws felt warm in the sunlight. He saw kits playing outside of the nursery, and apprentices talking and play fighting outside their den. In the sun light, elders we talking and laughing, just enjoying the day. Seeing this, Robinwing's wrath slowly died down. There was no need to ruin a day like this, with so many cats happy and enjoying themselves. It was just another day.

The moonlight kissed the ground where it peeked in through the canopy of trees thick with the blessings of greenleaf. The air was as silent as the paws padding forward through it. Her ears perked, nose twitching, and mouth open to find a better hold on her surroundings, the she-cat stepped through the ferns and ivy with quick, long strides.
There were no signs of prey anywhere, and the cat's hungry belly grumbled in protest. Suddenly, desperate eyes searched her from the forest around her. Hungry cries went up around the warrior, pleading for food. Remember the owls, Foxclaw. The she-cat's claws dug deeply in the bark of a tree as she pushed herself up onto a tall branch. Hunt like they do. From this height, the cat noticed a tiny movement below her.
Careful to keep quiet, she dropped down on the squirrel. It let out a terrified shrill, but the cat held-fast. Bending down-- "Don't talk to me like that!" The she-cat looked up, startled by the ferocity of the voice. Her prey took advantage of her lapse, wriggling free from her grasp and diving into the underbrush. Anger flitted through the cat's eyes as she watched her prey run to freedom.--Foxclaw opened her amber eyes, blinking to wash away the traces of sleep and stretched with a deep yawn. The calico glided around the nests and peered blinking into the sunshine of sunhigh. The voice still snarled in her head. As her keen eyes glanced across the clearing, she took full notice of a once-beautiful flower. Now it's stem was snapped and most of the petals; ripped off. Curiosity lit her face and the warrior's gaze met the flamed body of a tom. Twitching her ear in amusement, she recognized the voice now. Obviously Robinwing had pitched yet another fit about something. Foxclaw rolled her eyes. And she had some idea who he was so angry about. It was common knowledge in the Clan of his hatred toward the deputy. The reason why always escaped the gossip. Even at gatherings, some cats of the other Clans noticed how he avoided Badgerclaw and how his eyes narrowed at the mention of the tortoiseshell's name. Several times, those cats would seek Foxclaw for an explanation. She would then narrow her own eyes and tell them that those matters were about ThunderClan before she'd flick her tail in dismissal and trot away with a heavy heart. Being calm and passive, she hated to see such hostility in the Clan. She did her best not to take up a side in the struggle, though she couldn't help herself at times. Badgerclaw was her deputy, and she respected him. Foxclaw had been proud of her Clanmate the day he'd been granted the position by Wingedstar. She had always felt a tingle of devotion toward the tom, and was proud to think of him. Then there's Robinwing. While Foxclaw denied it, her heart fluttered when he was near. He was a good warrior; strong and smart. However, his hunting skills always lacked and his attitude got him into trouble. She felt annoyance flicker down her spine, remembering it was his voice that had interrupted her dream. She pushed it away and flattened the fur on her shoulders before sitting near the entrance to the warrior's den and getting to work on her grooming before she headed out of camp for a hunt. Status: Finished.

Robinwing looked over at the warriors den. There sat the she-cat Foxclaw. At once his heart began to pound and his face began to feel warm. Yes, he liked the calico she-cat, but she always seemed more interested in Badgerclaw. That was the real reason he really hated the deputy. But why should he care? It was one she-cat. ThunderClan was crawling with them. Yes, but no other she-cat makes you feel that way, a little voice rang in his ears. Elders were looking at him and laughing softly. He knew better then to yell at elders, so he just awkwardly smiled at them and shrugged his shoulders.
He gave his fur a shake and licked his chest a couple times. He needed to go out hunting soon, but he wanted to take someone with him. He looked at Foxclaw. Would she go with him? Its worth a try, he told himself. "Hey Foxclaw! Feel like going hunting with me?" Robinwing called over to her, figuring he already knew the answer. His face felt warm with embarrassment and he wished he hadn't asked. He thought he must look like a fool, and it only made him feel worse.

Sliding her tongue across her shoulder, the she-cat took great care to avoid putting too much weight on her healing paw. Only when she felt someone's gaze did she turn her head from her fur. Blood pounded in her ears as brown eyes met blue. Looking away quickly, she acted like she hadn't noticed him. With a few licks to her chest, she purred with satisfaction as she finished and shook her fur in the warm sunlight. The rest of the day would be well-spent, instead of sleeping. She silently thanked Robinwing for his mouth, or she wouldn't have awoken so soon. In a way, he'd done her a favor. Though she was still annoyed that she didn't get to kill the squirrel. Getting up, Foxclaw turned toward the camp entrance. "Hey Foxclaw! Feel like going hunting with me?" Her tail twitched and she hesitated. His hunting ability wasn't the best, and she feared he'd slow her down. She preferred hunting face-paced; darting through the shrubs and climbing trees, she didn't want to have to wait for him to catch up with her speedy movements. On the other hand, she didn't feel like being alone. With a sigh, she flicked her tail, inviting him along. Her paws lightly touched the ground as she walked toward the tunnel. She stopped only once to listen for kits in the nursery before regaining her pace. She knew Robinwing would follow, but she paid him no mind as she hurried through and toward the Lakeshore. It was hot, and she preferred a drink before hunting around the rocks and brush. Status: Finished. ((Feel free to post here, then meet me at Lakeshore. <3))
